Germany has one of the healthiest economies in the Eurozone. Below are the latest updates of wages, unemployment rates, population growth and job vacancies:
Wages in Germany increased by 1.8% in the last quarter of 2016 over the same period in 2015. These past years Germany seen a relatively constant growth in wages. From 2006 there was an increase of 0.8% until last year.
As from the beginning 2017, the hourly minimum wage in Germany increased to 8.84euros per hour.
Last year, Germany experienced the lowest unemployment rate since 1980. The rate fell down to 3.9% in the last quarter of 2016. On the other hand, the number of employment increased by 0.2%.
In less than 60 years, Germany’s population increased by almost ten million people. The current population is of 82.2 million people in Germany.
Total job vacancies in the beginning of 2017 were 646.99 thousand.
