2017 is a successful year for Germany. According to the Federal Statistics Office, exports in Germany increased to 102.3 Billion euros last February.  Previously, it was forecasted that exports will fall by 0.5% in February, but instead exports rose by 0.8% month on month.  This means that when compared to 2016, the country experienced a 3.1% increase.  On the other hand, according to Destatis, imports declined for the first time in five months.

Furthermore, the German industry is also doing impeccably well.  Industrial production rose up to 2.2% in the same month.  Undeniably, Germany’s economy is continuing to strengthen and last March unemployment was recorded to be the lowest since the German reunification in 1990.
