According to the Association of German Chambers of Commerce and Industry, the leading trading market in Germany changed in 2016.  In previous years, the United States was Germany’s top trading market, however, last year the country in first place is China.  Not only did the U.S. lose its position but also became the country’s 3rd trading partner.  The second place goes for France.

The statistics of China’s General Administration of Customs dictated that Germany’s and China’s trades increased drastically in 2016, with the trade volume adding up to 145.3 billion US dollars.  This is the result of a 2.6% year to year increase till 2016.  On the other hand, for at least two years, Germany was the top trading partner for China.
