In 2016, the German Economy had a healthy growth. It expanded by 1.9%, making an increase of 0.4% in the last quarter of the year. This was mainly due to an increase in private consumption, construction and state expenditure. For the current year, the Economy Ministry in Germany predicted a solid performance.
The Economic Ministry reported a stable economy and up till the present date, they said that the Economic indicators are pointing towards a solid start for the year of 2017. Up till now there are predictions that the industrial orders will be back into business in manufacturing, however, they said that “uncertainties remain especially in the trade environment.” There are some trade related risks to be taken into consideration. Furthermore, the construction business also signalled an economic growth for the beginning of this year.
All in all, despite the previous political uncertainties, the German Economy is set towards a positive rise with some expansions in several sectors.
