According to the German authorities, the industrial orders in Germany has increased with a quarterly rate of 4.3%. This was due to the high local and foreign demand for capital goods, increasing by 9.7% from previous years. Sal. Oppenheim economist, Ulrike Kastens said that even though there were some political uncertainties, the German economy is showing a substantial growth.
Furthermore, she provided the following improvements:
- ‘Made in Germany’ contracts for goods increased by 5.2% on the month. This was the highest since mid 2014.
- Domestic demand increased by 6.7%.
- Foreign orders increased by 3.9%.
- Booking from euro-zone countries increased by 10%.
According to the ministry the improvements above show a continuous increase for the next quarter.
