Head of Federal Labor Agency, Detlef Scheele said, “The labor market continues to develop positively.”

The largest economy in Europe is managing to maintain historic low unemployment levels across the country. According to the Federal Labor Agency in Germany. last month, the jobless rate was held at 5.7%. Furthermore, the total number of jobless people decreased to 2.53 million people, (decreased with 5000 people).

With that being said, the country is experiencing slight increases in unemployment, as students finish their studies and commence in searching for jobs. Such healthy rates will work in favour Chancellor Angela Merkel’s campaign and if she got re-elected, she plans to diminish the unemployment rate down to 3% and less by 2025.
