Compared to other big German cities, Frankfurt has relatively expensive accommodation, however, this is compensated by even higher salaries.  Therefore, the standard of living is quite high.  It is recommended that in order to find an affordable accommodation in the city, plan well in advance before your arrival so your trip will be as smooth as possible.
