Berlin Wall

This is definitely one of the most popular tourist attractions nowadays, due to its intense and dark history, which touches many people’s emotions. The famous Berlin Wall was built in order to separate two parts of Germany – the East and the West. The idea behind it at that time was to stop or hinder East Germans that were fleeing to the West of Germany. The most popular spot on the wall is called the East Side Gallery, where many famous artists converted the old and dull remains of the wall into a colourful gallery in the heart of Berlin. In total, the wall is 155km long.

Kölner Dom

This beautiful church left its mark in the Guinness Books of World Records for being the third tallest church in the world. In the church’s vicinity you can find quite some points of attractions and it is often used as a meeting spot. The Kölner Dom is known as being the most iconic landmark in whole Cologne.

Schloss Sanssouci

Another must visit tourist attraction when you are in Germany.  Back then it was used as a summer palace of Frederick the Great and if you visit it on a sunny day, you will know why. You will find yourself in a picturesque colourful and bright ambience where you can get lost in a world or tranquillity. The castle offers a beautiful tour inside, however, on the exterior, one can also enjoy the large gardens surrounding the palace.

Brandenburger Tor

The symbol and iconic landmark that reminds us of the re-unification of Germany. This was built in the heart of Berlin, just in front of the Berlin Wall. The neoclassical monument was built back in the 18th century and is now loved as a meeting place by many tourists, expats and locals.

Zugspitze - Garmisch Partenkirchen

The Zugspitze is the highest mountain in Germany and due to its size it became extremely popular as a skiing and snowboarding destination. The best thing about it, is that despite its size,  it is still highly accessible for many people to enjoy.
